Mark was a member of the board of Huronia Transition Homes operating the local Rosewood Women’s Shelter. He was involved in establishing many of the internal procedures of the shelter. He was a member of the original steering committee that set up the first Supervised Access Centre in Ontario, used by the provincial government as a pilot project for the supervised access centres that are now all across the province. Mark was on the committee that negotiated the design of the current Midland courthouse facilities.
In the last four years, Mark has served as articling principal to young law school graduates in serving their practical year of articles before being accepted to practice law.
